County meeting is Tuesday

Lake County Commissioners will be in session most of Tuesday with regular meeting appointments beginning at 9 a.m. and budget hearings starting at 12:30 p.m.
Appointments are as follows:
-- 9 a.m., Dick Amert, Lake County International remodeling project and proposed sprinkler system.
-- 9:10 a.m., Supplemental budget hearing for the Mental Health Center in the amount of $8,370 (this amount was budgeted in 2010, but has yet to be paid). Commissioners will also hear a request for a new retail on-sale liquor license for Round Lake Partners/The Lakes Restaurant and Lounge to offer mixed drinks in a jolly cart around the golf course, and will entertain a request for a new on-off sale malt beverage license at The Lakes Golf Course.
-- 9:15 a.m., Drainage hearing pertaining to a request by Scott Leighton for the Herman Township Board to maintain an existing ditch in Section 29 to alleviate flooding on a township road. Discussion will also take place on drainage that is needed on Co. Rd. 22 near Ramona.
-- 9:30 a.m., Drainage complaint between Brian Swier and Robert Norman.
-- 9:45 a.m., Welfare Manager Peggy Young will present indigent applications.
-- 10 a.m., Commissioners will convene as a board of adjustment to consider two conditional use permits and four plats. One conditional use permit is for a dog kennel business to be operated by Brian and Stephanie Graeb in Summit Township. The other is for construction of an oversized accessory building.
-- 10:30 a.m., Drainage hearing for an application by Doyle Renaas to install new tile in Nunda Township.
-- 10:45 a.m., Request by Dan Brown in Wentworth to establish a new approach.
-- 11 a.m., Charles Scholl will present a request for changes to date on his conditional use permit.
-- 11:15 a.m., State's Attorney Ken Meyer, closed session discussion on pending litigation and contractual matters.
-- 11:45 a.m., Building and Grounds Supervisor Derrick Shoenrock, monthly report.
-- 12:30-3 p.m., budget appointments every 15 minutes beginning with Sheriff Roger Hartman. Others are with 911 Communications Director Julie Wegener, Highway Superintendent Scott Mathison, Michelle Goodale of the Lake County Conservation District, ECCO Executive Director Norm Jerke presenting requests for ECCO and East Dakota Transit, Librarian Nancy Sabbe, Lake Area Improvement Corporation Executive Director Dwaine Chapel, John Hess for the Smith-Zimmermann Museum, Kelli Wollmann for Prairie Village, Tamara Miller for the Madison Ambulance and Coroner Ted Weiland.
